We continue through our series on Jesus’ “I Am” statements with his second statement, found in John 8:12.  “I am the light of the world.”  What does it mean that Jesus says he is the light – not “a” light, but “the” light?  Why did this statement offend the Pharisees so deeply?  How does it change our understanding of who Jesus is and what he does in our lives?
