Really?  How could Jesus say, ‘Blessed are those who mourn …’  How can pain and sorrow and grieving and incompleteness and emptiness and mourning be a blessing?  As he explores the 2nd Beatitude statement of Jesus in Matthew 5:4, Pastor Darren helps us to see again how the Kingdom of Heaven truly is an Upside Down Kingdom!  The very things that would seem to make us weak and immobile and useless here on earth are somehow blessings in this Kingdom that Jesus is speaking about.  Could it be that there is something of God: His sufficiency and fullness and completeness and care and sustenance, that are only fully experienced by those who mourn; those who are completely empty?  And could it be that it is only when we mourn; when we sit in our weakness and pain and sorrow and grieving and mourning, with hands figuratively outstretched … completely empty … with nothing to give … that we truly understand worship?  Could it really be that ‘Blessed are those who mourn’?
